How does light affect architecture, buildings and spaces? How does it affect us? We are fascinated by light. Our daily work is driven by that spirit.
Hamburg is home base for life, work and our international team. For our projects we are at home any place in the world.
Licht 01: Approved engineering and state-of-the-art technology
Direct communication, immediate collaboration and lean processes are very important to us. Transparency, objectivity and an open-mind for the unseen – thinking outside the box. That is how our team cooperates achieving prominent and successful results.
Our intention is to create a lighting concept to emphasize the core ideas of planned and existing architecture, to add an aesthetic value to the project. For the best mutual understanding of our concepts, we visualize and support our ideas with experimental models and digital setups beforehand.
What really characterizes us is the mutual joy of and appreciation of architecture. Contrast sharpens contours, diffuse light blurs them. Our work serves the project.
Katja Winkelmann, Licht 01
We prepare presentations, technical plans, details, specifications, circuit lists, lighting control requirements and tender documents. We support you during the contract negotiations and provide the implementation planning. Our services are based on work phases 1-9 of the HOAI.

We create light scenarios and specify the lighting controls. Depending on daylight and specific user requirements we combine lighting quality, energy efficiency and user-friendliness with the optimal staging of the space. We create light scenarios and specify the lighting controls. Special luminaires/luminaire development
Every project is unique. For custom made and bespoke solutions we develop special luminaires for individual results.
Our love for designing of lighting objects and innovative technical lighting development results in a special project identity.
